is there a way on the mobile device when you set the status to in progress it populates the start time without having to complete a transfer. im after opratives putting in progress as they start a job and then complete when they finish and both time being recorded.

Hi Wayne, only the complete date auto populates offline on the mobile at the moment. Other dates may be populated as part of a workflow rule that triggers when you sync (as you mentioned). There is a similar idea here Set Issued time when task status is set to Issued | Alloy Ideas Portal
