Are there any differences between the iOS and Android versions of Alloy mobile?
The development of the Android and iOS Mobile applications is done natively, meaning that we develop separately for each platform (with separate teams). This means that there is no guarantee of feature parity across the two platforms but we aim to keep them as close as possible. There are also different requirements from an App Store/Play Store perspective which mean the applications need to be tweaked in order to gain approval.
Currently, the only significant difference is the dedicated In-Cab Waste view available on Android. This was a decision made due to the demand in the market at the time and is not available on iOS.
We are also exploring cross-platform development in future iterations which will aim to solve any nuances, but this is some way off.
