# Can I network reference a newly created asset?

When creating an asset on Mobile and clicking into the network references attribute there is nothing to select.  
So how do i network reference a newly created asset?

Hi Jason, the Alloy Mobile application currently does not let you manage network references, this is something we have tracked in our backlog and will be getting some attention in the future. For now you are unable to update network references directly in the mobile application, this can be done in the web UI.
